About the Job
In this role, you will work on issues related to national minorities and national minority languages.
You will also work on other assignments related to the school’s efforts in democracy and human rights. You will contribute to the development of educational materials, work with agreements and collaborations with educational institutions regarding commissioned training and other professional development for the target groups in the school system.
You will work both independently and as part of a team. The assignments vary in content and scope and involve significant collaboration with colleagues at the Swedish National Agency for Education as well as cooperation with educational institutions, authorities, and civil society organizations.

About the Unit
You will belong to the Unit for General Didactics 2 within the Department for School Development. The unit consists of about 20 dedicated employees working on cross-school issues related to knowledge and values, student health, and special education. We are also responsible for the Swedish National Agency for Education's assignment as an LGBTQI strategic authority, working on gender equality integration, disability policy, national minorities, and national minority languages.
You will work in our modern and spacious office in Solna Business Park. You may also have the opportunity to work up to 50% remotely.

In this job, you should have
- a university degree in education or social sciences, or another relevant field that we assess as suitable,
- several years of relevant work experience from a government agency or work at a higher level within a municipality or region related to the school system, or other relevant experience,
- experience in leading and driving development work in collaboration with others,
- strong knowledge in the area of national minorities, national minority languages, or human rights,
- good digital competence,
- excellent ability to express yourself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English.
It is an advantage if you have experience in analysis and follow-up work, familiarity with reading and writing advanced texts, and experience in investigative work. A doctoral degree or licentiate degree, knowledge of laws and regulations concerning national minorities, national minority languages, disability policy, children's rights, or human rights, as well as knowledge of any national minority language, are also advantageous.
